Cookies

This page explains what pixelmarmot.info, the website of Twee Kolommen V.O.F. in Leiden, stores on your device. Under Article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act, anything that is not strictly needed for the site to work requires your permission first.

What is stored

consent_v2, local storage, functional. Holds your answer to the cookie banner and the date you gave it, so the banner does not reappear on every page. No permission needed for this one.
arrivalCheck, local storage, preference. Holds the two dates you typed into the arrival year check, so they are still there when you come back. Only stored if you allow it in the settings.

Both stay on your device. The website never sends them to us.

Why we ask at all

The functional entry is allowed without consent because the site cannot respect your choice without remembering it. The preference entry is different: the arrival check works fine without it, so we only keep your dates when you say yes. Refusing has no effect on anything else on the site, including the question form.

How long it is kept

Local storage has no expiry date of its own. Your choice stays until you change it, clear your browser data or use another browser or device. We ask again after twelve months, so a choice made long ago does not silently stay in place.

What is not used

No analytics, no advertising or tracking cookies, no social media plugins and no chat widget. We have no statistics about visits to this site.

Third parties

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts and the layout grid from the jsDelivr network. Like any server, they receive your IP address with the request. They do not place cookies through this site.

Changing your mind

Click "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page to open the banner again and switch the preference on or off. Rejecting it deletes the saved arrival check straight away. You can also clear site data in your browser settings.
